On our overnighter to Brest we were accompanied most of the way by dolphins and another sail boat. 60% sailing and 40% motor as the wind disappeared.

We went the long way around to see the, probably, the most famous lighthouse in the world, La Jument (The Mare). We had a print on our wall and for years I thought it was a painting. Apparently the lighthouse keeper heard the helicopter and went outside and only just closed the door in time as the wave broke. It obviously was a bit calmer when we passed it.

There was a tall ship regatta going on when we arrived, some beautiful ships. More my scene that neolithic remains.

A few boat jobs, replenished supplies, enjoyed some lovely Bretagne food and pretended to be French. The cook also doubled as our translator.

We decided to stay another night so we could visit the highly recommened maritime museum, which was amazing.

4 nights in Brest, now on to La Rochelle.
Looks fab!
