Watermill cove – St Mary’s

Before continuing our tour of the Scillies and sailings to Watermill cove we went ashore for one last time on St Agnus for a shower and dancing through the heather.

Then on for another lovely short sail to St Mary’s, the main island in the Scillies. I even cleaned my smelly shoes on the way.

Arrived at Watermill cove on the north side of St Mary’s, home for 3 nights as it was so tranquil and protected from the south westerly winds. Got a spot 250 metres from the beach

Then on to our final day of neolithic hell, the cooks favourite ever. Innisidgen, Bants cairn and porth Hellick down burial chambers. Don’t worry this is the last neolithic log.

We walked around the complete coast of St Mary’s, about 8 miles and saw the whole beautiful island. Finished by having a pint in Hugh town.

Woke up on our second morning to this monster bearing down on us. It was anchored but still looked like it was going to run us down at first.

Looks like a good window for Brest early tomorrow. Goodbye Scillies, vive la france.
