We left Ribadasella heading west but only got 12 miles down the road until the wind died. Ended up waiting for the wind in yet another unbelievably beautiful Asturian town on a hill called Lastres. I’m starting think I am in a dream.

We pulled into the harbour and parked on the far right of the harbour wall on a floating pontoon. Super comfortable and in the shade of the 60ft high harbour wall. Apparently, the harbourmaster told me, the waves break over the top in the winter. It cost €20 for 3 nights. No other visitors just local fishermen.

The cook practicing the ancient art of making neolithic rope circles.

No shortage of water around here with all the mountains. The shower almost blew me across the bathroom it was so powerful, it hurt. The alcohol is cheap, the local grog being cider. €2.50 for a bottle which gives 3 glasses. And of course the food was amazing.

We had a few hours on the local beach where we finally got number 1’s paddleboard out. Number 1 and the cook were both naturals, I need a LOT more practice.

Next stop Cape Fisterra – Yeh right.
This is wonderful stuff guys! You are definitely living the dream – finding these amazing unspoilt little places! All looking great and plenty of time to practice your paddle boarding 😅💕💕💕
