Objective – Get the boat to Pwllhelli
So we left Ipswich Haven marina at 4am, through the lock gates down the river Orwell with a beautiful sunrise in front of us. Ready to go all the way to Liverpool. Ha!! The weather turned gradually from a beaufort 2 to a beaufort 8 on the nose. A little like slowly boiling a frog. The boat performed perfectly the crew less so. We lasted 8 hours then turned around. There was seaweed on the foredeck. Gave us confidence that we had bought the right boat.
